Home Birth Story Photography
When Cat texted me and told me she was pregnant I was so excited... the next text was her asking me to be her birth photographer. Umm... duh! Of course I was thrilled! Of course, after four boys, we were all hoping Cat and Paul would be welcoming a baby girl to their circus, and something inside of me knew this would be the case, and these pictures would be extra special. During her pregnancy, there were some concerns that she might risk out of homebirth, requiring a cesarean, and in the middle of the COVID-19 crisis, getting into an OR would not be for the faint of heart. But Cat was ready to advocate to have her cesarean photographed! By the grace of God, all of the concerns were taken care of, and Cat was able to proceed with her home birth as planned. With four older brothers excitedly awaiting her arrival, Piper made a quick entrance to the world! With a short, but beautiful labor full of so much love, Paul supported Cat through every contraction and was right there by her side as she birthed their 9 pound daughter (WITH a compound hand!) in the same spot they welcomed their last baby. Of course I believe the images speak for themselves, so without further ado, check out this beautiful home birth story!
